About Connie Ewbank
Connie made her first quilt about 50 years ago. And caught the "bug" long before it became so popular. She taught and made commission quilts for several years. The year after her husband died, she opened a quilt and cross stitch shop (Quilt N Stitch) in St Louis MO which she owned for 12 years. Connie and her employees taught a lot of classes, many of which were their own designs. And she began to publish these designs in pattern and book form. Connie also purchased a separate counted cross stitch shop and designed and taught in that area of needlework, too.
In early fall 2004 Connie closed both shops and moved to the Baton Rouge area. She has continued to teach and design patterns for both quilting and counted cross stitch. Since there is a quilt shop in Louisiana named Quilt N Stitch, and since she had already been publishing cross stitch patterns under the name Butterfly Stitches, Connie decided to rename all her quilting and cross stitch designs under the same name, that is, Butterfly Stitches.
Teaching has taken Connie to many places around the Missouri, Ohio, Illinois and Kansas areas, and as far away as Monterrey Mexico. And now she has taught in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Florida and North Carolina. Connie has taught at local quilt guilds, local and regional EGA meetings, local ANG meetings, and is currently a GSQA (Gulf States Quilting Association) circuit teacher. She also taught for 8 years at the National Counted Cross Stitch show at Rockome Gardens, Arcola IL.
As a national and international quilt teacher and designer, Connie is known for strong contrast in her color selections, and a wide variety of designs and techniques. "I loved to color with crayons as a child. Now I color with fabric." Her quilts have appeared in Quilter's World and Quilter's Newsletter. She also had quilts in two multi-designer books from House of White Birches.

About Sherry Herringshaw
A former high school math teacher, Sherry Herringshaw's love of precision can be seen in her colorful miniature quilts. She is actively involved in several local guilds and has membership in national quilt associations. Sherry is a GSQA circuit teacher, but is also available to quilt guilds and quilt shops on an as needed basis. She publishes a line of patterns, Lagniappe Quilt Designs, based on her own designs.
